Importance of Scarves in our Life

Our association with scarves is endless. We are well versed in their various forms and the possibilities are endless when it comes to patterns and prints. They evolve with every season and we continue to bond with them because apart from being a favorite fashion accessory, they also provide us with comfort, protection and modesty, whether as trendy as a fashion statement. Whether worn as a headscarf or as a belt, wrist tie, or handbag accessory, it will remain a staple in every woman's wardrobe.

During the First World War:

In the olden days, pilots also wore white silk scarves while flying because they protected the neck from tearing. During the First World War, silk played a very important role in military operations. Silk bags were used to carry gunpowder charges for weapons as there was no residue left when silk was burned. After the war, this surplus silk was turned into clothing, scarves and furnishings.
